Britney Spears’ Manager Says She Might Never Perform Again

It’s been an absolutely brutal few months for Britney Spears, and according to her manager, it’s a possibility that she’ll never return to the stage again.

In case you haven’t been keeping up, Spears had to cancel her upcoming Vegas residency after her dad, Jamie Spears, fell ill. Then, she was admitted to a mental health facility. Fans began to think she was being held there against her will, to which she implied wasn’t true on Instagram.

However, because of all this whirlwind, there’s been dispute over Spears’ conservatorship, which currently belongs to her father. Her mother, Lynne Spears, has taken the matter to court arguing that she should also have say in Britney’s personal and financial affairs during this time.

So it’s been a pretty stressful run by anyone’s standards. Now, Britney’s manager, Larry Rudolph, has spoken to TMZ saying that he’s not sure she’ll ever perform again.

“As the person who guides her career — based on the information I and all of the professionals who work with her are being told on a need-to-know basis — from what I have gathered, it’s clear to me she should not be going back to do this Vegas residency,” he said.

“Not in the near future and possibly never again.”

He said he only wants her to return to work when and if she’s ready.

“If that time never comes again, it will never come again. I have no desire or ability to make her work again. I am only here for her when she wants to work. And, if she ever does want to work again, I’m here to tell her if it’s a good idea or a bad idea.”

“We had to pull her show because her meds stopped working and she was distraught over her dad’s illness,” he said. “Last summer, when she wanted to tour, she called me every day. She was excited. She hasn’t called me in months. Crickets. She clearly doesn’t want to perform now.”

We hope Britney’s okay, and hope she feels better soon.
