Built To Spill Start Work On New Album

American indie rock band Built To Spill have revealed details to release their eighth studio album and follow-up to their successful 2009 release There Is No Enemy.

Speaking in an interview with Rolling Stone, singer-guitarist Doug Martsch says he hopes to get it out in 2012 but, “It might even be 2013. I haven’t made a record in less than two or three years in a long time.”

The band will self-produce the new record and have begun the writing process, with recording hopefully commencing soon. The band also has hopes to play more live shows in 2012, having recently appeared in Australia earlier this year.
