Cherry Bar Announces Lineup For Cherryfest 2012

Following the overwhelming love received by Cherryrock 2012 back in April, one of Australia’s most iconic live music venues Cherry Bar has announced plans and details to keep the bar pumping. Today they handed down the official lineup for Cherryfest 2012.

The gig will take place November 25 from noon, located of course in the much-adored AC/DC Lane. Headlining the event will be seminal sludge metal outfit Eyehategod, visiting from their native New Orleans, who will be demonstrating their well-known brutality and their massive wall of sound.

You will also be able to hear the music from At the Drive-In and The Mars Volta main man with the Omar Rodriguez-Lopez Group, the woodcore stylings of our very own Henry Wagon, Melbourne’s very much loved-up stoner rockers Dern Rutlidge and My Left Boot, who will be showcasing their latest album.

Cherry Bar top dog James Young left a statement on the venue’s website stating that “with the success of our sold-out CherryRock012 Festival in April this year, the sixth of its type, we’re super keen to hold another event for the first time in the Spring sunshine and to take advantage of our current deluxe Yarra views before the 189-apartment 12-storey development is built at the base of AC/DC Lane. Let’s host one last incredible rock n roll party in AC/DC Lane, shall we, music lovers of Melbourne? And have we got a mouth-watering line-up for you…”

Tickets are up for grabs now through the website.
