Chris Isaak Announces 2024 Australian Tour, Including A Day On The Green Dates

American singer-songwriter Chris Isaak – best known for hits such as ‘Wicked Game’ and ‘Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing’ – has announced he will return to Australia for the first time in eight years this coming April, set to bring his In Concert 2024 tour to theatres and wineries across the country.

In a press statement, Isaak revealed that the tour announcement had him “smiling”, despite being currently being in the midst of a snow-storm that’s hit his home in Nashville. “I have been stuck in my house for 9 days, but I have been in a great mood as I know I’m going back to Australia,” he said. “I think it’s my favourite place to tour… or just hang out. I’m so ready! Bring on the sun! Bring on the beach!”

Joining Isaak and his band on the Day On The Green dates will be Boy & Bear. The Sydney five-piece came to Isaak’s attention after their harmony-driven cover of his 1989 chart-topper ‘Wicked Game’ began gaining traction online and was ultimately certified Gold by ARIA.

Vika & Linda will also join Boy & Bear for the Day On The Green shows, and Hunters & Collectors frontman Mark Seymour will additionally support at most of those dates with his band The Undertow. Killing Heidi‘s Ella Hooper will open in Geelong, replacing Seymour, while in Mount Cotton Isaak will be joined by singer-songwriter Mason Watts.

According to Setlist.FM, Isaak has performed over 120 shows in Australia – making it his most-toured country after his native US. He first toured Australia in 1995 in support of his album Forever Blue, and returned frequently throughout the rest of the 90s and into the 2000s. Isaak also briefly lived in Australia while serving as a judge on The X Factor.
