City & Colour And Nathaniel Rateliff Announce 2025 Co-Headlining Tour

City & Colour have enlisted Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats for a co-headlining tour of Australia, set to take place in January 2025. It marks the first time the two bands have toured together outside of City & Colour’s native Canada, where the pair played a run of shows earlier this year. A full list of tour dates and ticketing information can be accessed below.

Both acts previously toured Australia at different junctures of 2023. City & Colour toured from late January to mid-February, performing on that year’s SummerSalt line-up alongside Angus & Julia Stone and Ben Harper. The band then performed their own headlining shows, before frontman Dallas Green joined his Alexisonfire bandmates for a run of national theatre shows with Luca Brasi.

Rateliff, meanwhile, was last seen in Australia with the Night Sweats that April, where he played a series of Bluesfest sideshows that also served as co-headliners – this time with St. Paul & The Broken Bones. The two bands teamed up for shows at the Forum Theatre in Melbourne, the Northcote Theatre and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre.

Joining the two folk-rock bands as the opening act for all dates except Perth will be Alex Lahey. The Melbourne-based indie-pop singer-songwriter will be performing alongside her full band, playing songs from her most recent studio album The Answer Is Always Yes. In Perth, opening duties will be handled by Sydney alt-country quartet Caitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys.

City & Colour continue to tour in support of their seventh studio album The Love Still Held Me Near, which was released in March of 2023. Rateliff, meanwhile, is touring in support of South Of Here – his fourth studio album with the Night Sweats, and eighth overall – which was released in June.
