It’s been a long wait for Aussie Clutch fans, but the Maryland groove-metal veterans are finally making good on their return.
Clutch have announced their first Australian headline tour in a decade, locking in a run of east coast dates and a stop at Adelaide’s Froth & Fury Festival this January. Better yet, they’re bringing fellow American heavyweights Corrosion Of Conformity along for the ride.
Clutch – ‘Slaughter Beach’
The tour marks Clutch’s first Australian headline run since 2017, with the band set to arrive armed with a brand new studio album – their fourteenth overall and first since 2022’s acclaimed Sunrise On Slaughter Beach.
Across more than three decades, Clutch have carved out one of heavy music’s most distinctive sounds, blending hard rock, blues, stoner rock and classic metal into a groove-laden style that’s earned them a fiercely loyal global following and a reputation as one of the most consistently brilliant live bands in the business.
Joining them on every Australian date are Corrosion Of Conformity, who’ll also be making their long-awaited return Down Under for the first time since 2020.
Since emerging from the American hardcore scene in the early ’80s, C.O.C. have become one of heavy music’s most influential bands, helping shape everything from crossover thrash and sludge metal through to southern rock-infused heavy music. Earlier this year they released their eleventh studio album, Good God / Baad Man, proving they remain every bit as crushing as ever.
Together, the pairing promises a stacked night of towering riffs, huge grooves and decades’ worth of heavy music history.
