Cody ChesnuTT Announces Supports For Headlining Australian Tour Dates

Currently in Australia as part of Melbourne Festival for what will be his first tour Down Under since 2006, Cody ChesnuTT will also be performing a brief run of headlining tour dates this weekend. Today we’ve got the acts chosen to open in each state, with ChesnuTT’s team demonstrating a thorough understanding of the local scene.

Kicking things off in Sydney at The Metro will be rising singer/songwriter Ngaiire. Having just released her debut album Lamentations, Ngaiire is quickly earning her stripes, with national and international tours already on her CV as well as collaborations with mentor Paul Mac.

Brisbane fans have been treated to two support acts for ChesnuTT’s show at The Hi-Fi. With on foot in electro, one foot in R&B and at least a pinky toe in future-pop, MKO will bring a flurry of texture when they open the stage for the evening. The band has only been in existence for around 15 months but are already being compared to the likes of James Blake, Little Dragon and The Dirty Projectors.

Main support for The Hi-Fi will be handled by Cheap Fakes. Quickly earning a rap as one of Brissy’s most happening live acts; Cheap Fakes have managed to combine the best elements of popular genres funk, pop, ska and reggae, held together with a danceable beat.

These crowds will be well and truly warmed. Tickets are still available for all remaining shows.
