Cosmo’s Midnight Cancel Their American Tour And SXSW Appearance After Visa Issues

Sydney production duo Cosmo’s Midnight have had to cancel their first appearance at South By South-West and a larger US tour after visa issues.

The understandably upset pair took to Facebook to give the news to fans announcing that, “Due to unforeseeable visa issues one of us has been refused entry to America.”

The pair sold out shows around the country last month on a headline tour and were due to be ion America in just four days to play showcases at Texas’ SXSW as well as support fellow Aussie producer Wave Racer on an extensive tour of North America.

“We planned this very far ahead applying as early as November last year to make this tour happen so it is pretty devastating for us to bring you this news,” they wrote.

“As we are both heavily involved in the live show it makes no sense for only one of us to go and we are so sad to be bringing this news as we were so excited to be finally bringing our music to you all and playing alongside our good friend Wave Racer.”

Still, the band aren’t giving up completely promising fans on the other side of the globe that they will be coming in their summer.

Cosmo’s Midnight were part of a strong Aussie showing at SXSW this year which includes Kita Alexander, Wave Racer, DZ Deathrays, Gang Of Youths and Vallis Alps.

They will be replaced on some of their dates with Wave Racer by fellow producer and friend Basenji.
