Could Adele Be Recording New James Bond Theme Song?

She’s scheduled to give birth to her first child any day now, but that apparently hasn’t stopped Adele from helping out on the soundtrack for the new James Bond film.

UK tabloid The Sun reports the singer visited London’s Abbey Road Studios – where the soundtrack for the new 007 flick Skyfall – is being recorded earlier this month.

The tabloid reckons her visit to the studios suggests she is recording with Thomas Newman, who has been appointed by the film’s director – Sam Mendes – to write the film score.   Newman has previously composed the soundtrack for films including Finding Nemo, WALL-E, The Shawshank Redemption and Mendes’ film Revolutionary Road.

Skyfall opens in the UK on October 26, with the new movie’s release marks the 50th anniversary of the Bond series. Watch the trailer for the film at the bottom of the page.

Adele has sold over 22 million copies of her all-conquering second studio album 21 worldwide.  At the end of last month, there were reports she had secretly got married to her boyfriend (and father-to-be of her child), Simon Konecki.  However, the singer took to her Twitter page to dispel the rumours.
