As they prepare to wrap up their 41st season, Saturday Night Live puppet masters have announced the two final musical guests and they’re both fairly great. Drake will be returning to the show and our Courtney Barnett will be making her SNL debut.
Courtney Barnett is currently cruising high atop a wave off adoration from her exploding US fan base. Her recent performance at Coachella was clearly a festival highlight for most and, let’s face it, closing off a season of SNL is a huge deal in our culture. This is of course after winning just about every accolade her native Australia has to offer.
While our own Courtney will provide the musical entertainment for the May 21st season finale, SNL alumnus Fred Armisen will host.
Prior to that, all eyes will be on the man right now Drake who will be performing and hosting SNL’s May 14th episode. This isn’t his first time front and centre on the program; y’all might remember when he hosted back in 2014. Drake reprised his mad acting skillz for the episode for skits where he relived his Bar Mitzvah.
