Cults Release First Single ‘I Can Hardly Make You Mine’ From New Album ‘Static’

It’s been an anxious wait for fans of indie pop duo Cults who recently announced they would be releasing their sophomore album, but rest assured as I Can Hardly Make You Mine suggests that Static will be fuzzed-out, reverb-ridden and everything else that made their self-titled debut so glorious.

The track debuted recently on NPR’s new music program All Songs Considered and marks the first hint as to which direction the buzzworthy pair have taken for their follow up. Clearly, Cults have noted that when you’re onto a good thing, why stop? And once again built their sound around tripped out guitar and the mean chops of Madeline Follin’s vox.

Cults have confirmed that Static will be released Tuesday, 15th October internationally. The band were previously in town for Laneway Festival 2012, so with a new album on the way it puts them in a good spot to make it down for festival next year. Fingers crossed.
