Dan Cribb Delivers A Punk Cover Of ‘Baby On Board’ From ‘The Simpsons’

Dan Cribb, the Perth muso who is currently putting together an album of Simpsons‘ punk covers, has added another instalment to the slowly growing record.

Following a firing cover of Flaming Moe’s with Aussie newcomer Alex Lahey and an operatic rendition of Dr. Zaius/Chimpan-A To Chimpan-Z, he’s served up a cover of Baby On Board, made famous by Homer when he was in a barbershop quarter The Be Sharps with Principal Skinner, Barney Gumble and Apu Nahasapeemapetilon.

You’ll remember the heavenly foursome howled it out on the rooftops, looking over Springfield, but Cribb has roughed it up a bit taking it from the rooftops to a sweaty basement.

As a Christmas bonus, he starts with a cover of the festive Whacking Day, which in itself is an appropriation of O Christmas Tree.

He teamed up with Andy & Gav McDougall for the covers, with ska-punk rockers Chris Duke and The Royals providing some valiant backup vocals.

At only a minute-and-a-half, it’s a painfully short cover, but it should be enough to whack you into the Christmas spirit.

Cribb is set to add a Simpsons cover to his Worst Tribute Ever once a month until the album is complete. You can check out the new one, below.
