Dave Grohl Working On Nevermind Studio Documentary

Dave Grohl is working on a documentary about Sound City Studios, the recording space where Nevermind was recorded.

The album, currently being celebrated with a 20th anniversary reissue package, is one of the most high-profile releases to come out of the studio, previously associated with soft rock acts Foreigner, Cheap Trick and Pat Benatar.

“Dave is working on this project based on a studio that we all used to work at that is really interesting.” REO Speedwagon singer Kevin Cronin told Artisan News Service. “I probably shouldn’t be talking about it, Dave will probably announce it, but it’s very cool.”

“There was a studio that all of us worked at, where they recorded Nevermind. It meant a lot to a lot of artists. So Dave is putting together something to get the stories that all the artists have about the studio.”

Artists expected to be involved include Fleetwood Mac, Nine Inch Nails, Willie Nelson and Tom Petty among others.
