Death Cab For Cutie Extend Australian Tour, Announce Support Act

American indie-rockers Death Cab For Cutie have extended their forthcoming Australian tour around Splendour In The Grass 2015, announcing extra and final sideshows in Melbourne and Sydney.

Due to demand, Death Cab For Cutie have now added a third and final show at Melbourne’s 170 Russell, after selling out the first two. What’s more, the band have added a second and final Sydney show, which will see them take to the city’s Enmore Theatre after a one-night stint at the Sydney Opera House.

Speaking with Music Feeds earlier this year, Death Cab For Cutie’s Nick Harmer said fans should expect new techniques at the band’s live shows. “There’s a lot of counter-melodies and things we haven’t even attempted before, both in old and new songs,” Harmer said. “I think people are going to be really surprised when they see us next.”

Supporting Death Cab For Cutie at all of their Australian headline shows will be fellow American’s Say Hi, who released their latest album, Endless Wonder, in 2014.

Death Cab For Cutie last played down under in 2012, and will have their latest album Kintsugi in tow when they hit Aussie shores for Splendour this July. Catch the band’s updated tour details in full, below.
