Deep Sea Arcade will be teaming up with NZ’s Surf City this February for a rollicking co-headline tour along Australia’s sunny east coast. With both bands drawing heavily from the tradition of good old surf music it makes sense that most of these shows will be rooted in lustrous beach-side locations.
Following from the success of radio singles Crouch End, Don’t Be Sorry, Lonely In Your Arms and Keep On Walking, Deep Sea Arcade have been experiencing a veritable period of tumorous growth over the past few month, this tour being the logical conclusion to the benevolent expansion.
Not to be outdone though Surf City have been wracking up praise like papal populists, their debut album Kudos garnering acclaim from the likes of NME, Pitchfork and Brooklyn Vegan. At home on Popfrenzy, Surf City are set to land on our shores with the resounding sense of purpose usually reserved for focused bands of militia or vagabonds.
