Drake Bell Pleads Guilty To Child Endangerment, Faces Up To Two Years In Prison

Drake Bell has pleaded guilty to attempted child endangerment and will face up to two years in prison, as reported by New York Times. He was charged with attempted child endangerment and disseminating material harmful to juveniles just over two weeks ago.

The former Nickelodeon and Drake & Josh actor initially pleaded not guilty to both charges. Now, he has agreed to take a plea deal, via a virtual court hearing.

Prosecutors say both the charges follow a 2017 incident. Bell performed in Cleveland on the 1st December, 2017. He allegedly engaged in a sexual-in-nature conversation with a 15-year-old girl who attended the show.

She later filed a report with her local police department in Canada. The Cleveland Police Department then investigated the report.

This investigation further revealed that Bell had sent the same girl inappropriate messages via social media in the months leading up to the show.

Sentencing is scheduled for Monday, 12th July.

The sentencing range for Bell’s charges is from probation to two years in prison.

Bell’s lawyer, Ian N. Friedman is yet to comment.
