DZ Deathrays Kicked Off Stage At SXSW

The South By Southwest (SXSW) conference has begun in Texas and an Australian band has already found a way to stir up the Americans. Brisbane band DZ Deathrays were kicked off stage during their first set for playing too loud.

Speaking with Tone Deaf, the band’s label manager explained the situation:

Basically the boys got a few songs in and were then told they were too loud for the venue because vendors close by couldn’t talk over their music and the sound was cut off and they were forced to stop.

[It] was a shame because there was a cool crowd but it was out of our control. Henry Wagons and Big Scary played before them and they were dope!

Thankfully, DZ will get another chance to impress when they play at The Aussie BBQ on Saturday.
