It’s been 21 years since Eskimo Joe came to be, and to celebrate they are giving us a limited edition reissue of their seminal 2006 album Black Fingernails, Red Wine.
The album hit #1 on the ARIA charts, and stayed in the top 50 for a colossal 62 weeks. On top of that, the album also won the band four ARIA awards and went four times platinum in Australia.
It also spawned more than a few bangers. The most famous of which, the title track, was a mainstay on radio in 2006 and hit #2 on Triple J’s Hottest 100.
This is only the latest album the band has reissued recently, having done the same with albums Girl, Ghosts Of The Past and Inshalla.
On top of this, they’re giving hometown fans in Fremantle a special show, playing the entire album in full.
