Fall Out Boy Sidewaves With Twin Atlantic, Emily’s Army Announced

US pop punk rockers Fall Out Boy and Glasgow alt rockers Twin Atlantic are the latest acts to announce Soundwave 2015 Sidewaves and fans will be chuffed to learn that the bands will play two sideshows in Sydney and Brisbane this February with special guests Emily’s Army, now known as Swimmers.

The three bands will take on stages at the UNSW Roundhouse in Sydney on Tuesday 24th February and The Tivoli in Brisbane on Wednesday 25th February in addition to their Soundwave sets.

The Chicago-bred Fall Out Boy will be making the Australian debut of their brand new full length American Beauty/American Psycho, which our review described as “a hyperactive affair which sees bassist and primary songwriter Pete Wentz, guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley strap themselves to Patrick Stump’s soaring vocals and set course for the stratosphere.”

Twin Atlantic have been stealing the hearts since the arrival of their 2009 debut Vivarium and will tour Australia armed with their brand new LP, Great Divide, while the band formally known as Emily’s Army, Swimmers, are set to intrigue audiences with their unique beach pop sound. Fans might recognise this band’s drummer Joey Armstrong, who is the son of Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong.

Tickets to the newly announced Sidewaves go on sale Monday 2nd February at 9am local time. See all dates and ticketing links below. To keep up to date on all the latest Sidewave information, head to out detailed Sidewave information page.
