FBi Announce Impressive Second Lineup For Their Brand New Summer Festival

Following on from the first announcement back in October, the FBi SMACs Festival has just released their second round of artists, with Wave Racer, Montaigne and Federal Minister for Grayndler Anthony Albanese aka DJ Albo joining the likes of Cosmo’s Midnight, Vallis Alps and Tuka.

Organised in partnership with Sydney Festival and Carriageworks, the event will celebrate Sydney’s emerging performers and artists, continuing FBi Radio‘s mission to support local talent.

Also joining the line-up in the latest announcement are surfpop duo Hockey Dad as well as FBi’s Northern Lights winners The Walking Who, and Gideon Bensen of The Preatures. On the electronic front beatmakers Ribongia and Moonbase Commander will are jumping in on the FBi Click Rave Cave presented by MoVement, and joining the already announced Black Vanilla, Dro Carey, Wordlife and more.

It’s not just music that the festival will be showcasing though, with a carefully selected program of artists also being enlisted to showcase their work/transform the space. Bhenji Ra will be delighting punters with his shape shifting dancing style, with installation artist Rosie Deacon building a wildly colourful mini-golf course.

Hyperactive feminist performance troupe Hissy Fit are also on the line-up, as are dogloving mystic David Capra, playful sculptor Lewis Doherty, and sisters Michaela and Claudia Gleave, collaborating for the first time.

Still, all of this is just a warm up for the real treat of the festival, a traditional italian BBQ run by Donny Benet and called, what else but, Molto Benet. The pun game is just so strong.

Sydney-siders should be excited as the festival builds on the FBi SMAC Awards’ recognition of Sydney’s creative trailblazers, the event promises to be a great platform for the city’s best and brightest not to mention a great night out for the rest of us. In the meantime here is the second announcement in its entirety, as well as the artists from the first round.

Tickets are on sale now at $49+ BF or $39+BF for FBi Supporters with full details below the line-up.
