Yesterday triple j celebrated the tenth birthday of triple j Unearthed by putting on a Hottest 100 countdown of the best artists ever to be discovered through Unearthed.
Just looking at the list you get a bit of an idea of the significance of triple j providing budding artists with a platform like Unearthed, with the top 100 countdown revealing some of the best acts in Australia at the moment.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, triple j golden boy Flume took out the top spot, while the unstoppable Courtney Barnett nabbed second place, but the top 10 was choc full of some incredible bands as well – with The Rubens, Boy & Bear, Ball Park Music, Sticky Fingers and The Jezabels all making the cut.
Rounding out the top 25 are name after name of Australia’s hottest acts at the moment, with RUFUS, SAFIA, Montaigne, Tkay Maidza, DZ Deathrays and more all placing highly.
