Foo Fighters Are Playing At Geelong’s Kardinia Park Next Week

It’s official: Foo Fighters will play a one-off headline show at GMHBA Stadium in Geelong. The full-capacity gig goes down on Friday, 4th March. Amyl & the Sniffers and the Meanies are supporting.

The show is part of Victoria’s Always Live initiative. Described as a statewide celebration of contemporary live music, Always Live aims to cement Victoria’s “position as the live music capital of Australia.”

Foo Fighters’ gig at GMHBA Stadium (AKA Kardinia Park) is presented by Frontier Touring, Triple M and Geelong’s K Rock 95.5 FM.

Foo Fighters released their tenth studio album, Medicine at Midnight, in February 2021. The record included the singles ‘Shame Shame’ and ‘No Son Of Mine’ and debuted at the top of the ARIA Albums chart. The record was produced by Greg Kurstin (Adele, Sia), who also handled production of the band’s previous LP, 2017’s Concrete and Gold.

Foo Fighters were inducted into the Rock & Roll Holl of Fame in October 2021. Paul McCartney delivered the induction speech before joining the band for a version of The Beatles’ ‘Get Back’. It was Foo Fighters singer Dave Grohl’s second induction into the Rock Hall, after making it as a member of Nirvana in 2014.

Tickets for the GMHBA Stadium gig are on sale at 12pm (AEDT) Friday, 25th February from Frontier Touring. Prices range from $99.90 – $219.90.
