Foo Fighters Ignite Adelaide Oval

The Foo Fighters 2011 Australian tour rocked the Adelaide Oval last night following on from shows in Perth and Melbourne last week. 36,000 fans turned up to the iconic cricket ground to watch the biggest ‘Rock N Roll’ band in the world and they were not left disappointed.

The band churned through as massive 18-song set that included a lot of new material along with some old classics.

After 13 tracks, Dave stopped to celebrate drums, guitars and rock n roll telling the crowd:

If one of your favourite bands comes to town and they’ve got a computer behind them – tell them your friend Dave said this…

The band then laucnhed into an epic version of crowd favourite, Monkey Wrench.

The first half of the encore featured Dave on a platform up close and personal with the crowd for acoustic performances of Wheels and Times Like These. The band then ripped into Generator before performing a cover of Queen classic, Tie Your Mother Down, then ending the show with Everlong.

Check out some awesome photos over at Triple M.

The Foo Fighters will now head to Sydney for a show at Sydney Football Stadium before heading north for their final Australian show at the Gold Coast. Let’s hope the sound at the SFS is better than it was for Eminem on the weekend.
