UPDATE 19/08/16: Frank Ocean is playing new music on the live stream.

ORIGINAL STORY: Frank Ocean has reappeared on his mysterious live stream in the lead-up to the reported release of his new album Boys Don’t Cry. The record is expected to be released today, so fans are having a bit of difficulty containing their excitement.

Ocean launched his warehouse live stream video on Monday, 1st August through the Apple Music streaming service, which is where Boys Don’t Cry is expected to premiere.

At the time of writing, Ocean is still plugging away at some DIY, as various clips of instrumental music intermittently play in the background of the stream. The title given to the stream by Apple Music is Endless, which is pretty perfect given that we’re still waiting for Boys Don’t Cry to drop.

Ocean, who is currently wearing a David Bowie t-shirt, appears to be building a series of wooden boxes, which could turn out to be stairs — which would be handy, because fans are in need of something which will help them escape this hellish wait:

The Endless stream still features a large boombox in the background, which is part of an installation by artist Tom Sachs. Speaking with The Fader, Sachs says he was directly involved with the Endless video, which was shot at some point “in the past year”.

When Boys Don’t Cry is eventually released, it will be the follow-up to Ocean’s 2012 debut album channel ORANGE. A publication titled Boys Don’t Cry is also expected to be available in Apple stores.

Meanwhile, a super-keen Ocean fan has captured audio of a number of the instrumental snippets featured in the Boys Don’t Cry live stream, and has uploaded them to SoundCloud. Catch those snippets below (before they’re taken down), and watch Ocean’s Endless live stream on Apple Music or at Ocean’s website.
