The UK’s Glastonbury Festival is still moving forward with prep for the upcoming event, despite mass cancellations across the globe.
They’ve today announced the first of the lineup for the event, which is scheduled in late June. Per usual, the lineup is massive. The 2020 festival bill is headlined by Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, and Diana Ross.
Other artists include the likes of Dua Lipa, Anderson .Paak, Noel Gallagher, Phoebe Bridgers, Lana Del Rey, HAIM and The Avalanches.
There’s still a full lineup announcement to come in May. Glastonbury plans to have 1,000 acts across 70 stages over the four day, sold out event.
Emily Eavis, a Glastonbury organiser, acknowledged what’s been going on but says she hopes the festival will go ahead. “No one has a crystal ball to see exactly where we will all be 15 weeks from now, but we are keeping our fingers firmly crossed that it will be here at Worthy Farm for the greatest show on Earth!”
Just recently, Coachella was postponed due to coronavirus concerns and SXSW cancelled.
