The inevitable has happened. The curse you get for having a top-charted single in the US these days has claimed the life of our very own Gotye. Glee will be using his universal chart-smashing hit single Somebody That I Used To Know in an upcoming episode of the show.
It’s not surprising to see Wally do so well while he’s over in the US, after all, 2011 could have easily been named ‘Year of the Gotye’ here in Australia. It became almost impossible to avoid hearing that song being played on the radio, TV and especially the Internet.
Lately he’s appeared on Jimmy Kimmel with Kimbra, who isn’t doing too bad herself these days with her own projects overseas. He’ll also cap off his TV appearances by playing on SNL on April the 15th.
So Glee fan or not, it’s nice to see him being honoured in the overall market while he’s travelling around on his US tour.
