Grindfeld, a Seinfeld-Themed Metal Band, Announce Debut EP ‘5 Songs About Nothing’

Have you ever received a gift from the universe that you didn’t know you needed but you’re so glad exists? That’s exactly what has happened with the news of Seinfeld-themed metal band, Grindfeld.

The band, comprised of members of bands like Wretched and The Rivers Of Nihil, have just announced their fantastically named debut EP 5 Songs About Nothing. It includes should-be chart-toppers like ‘The Limousine’, ‘The Soup Nazi’ and ‘The Bizarro Jerry’. We’ll wait for the next release for the inevitable ‘Hello…Newman‘ medley.

As Consequence Of Sound reports, the band gave a press release detailing their formation which we have to be so grateful for.

“After what seems like a lifetime of repeat viewings, re-runs and falling asleep to the same laugh track over and over again, ex and current members of Wretched, Alterbeast, The Kennedy Veil and Rivers of Nihil decided there was more to this simple show about ‘Nothing’,” the statement reportedly reads.

“Born out of a mutual love of Death Metal, comical observations, coffee and Hardcore, Grindfeld is a project built on the existential dread hidden just under the surface of daily life.”

You can listen to ‘The Contest’ now below, and hang tight for the EP’s release on Friday, 23rd November.
