Aussie muso Dan Cribb has released the latest track from his Simpsons covers album, and it’s a full-pelt punk cover of the Hank Scorpio theme song, featuring frontman of Tasmanian punks Luca Brasi, Tyler Richardson.
Hank Scorpio, who you’ll remember as Homer Simpson’s one-time employer and the mastermind behind the Globex Corporation, was given his own theme song in the closing credits of the ‘You Only Move Twice’ episode, and now it’s been given a full punk makeover by Cribb and his m8 Richardson, who provides vocals on the cover.
Oh, and the cover is straight fire.
Cribb’s ever-increasing collection of Simpsons covers are set to be released as an album titled Worst. Tribute. Ever. once they’ve all been individually shared over a 12-month period.
Previously released tracks from the album have featured collaborations with singer-songwriter Alex Lahey (on ‘Flaming Moe’s’), Grenadiers vocalist Jesse Coulter (on ‘Dr. Zaius/ Chimpan – A To Chimpan – Z’) and Andy & Gav McDougall (on ‘Whacking Day & Baby On Board’).

Lyrics:
Scorpio!
He’ll sting you with his dreams of power and wealth.
Beware of Scorpio!
His twisted twin obsessions are his plot to rule the world
And his employees’ health.
He’ll welcome you into his lair
Like the nobleman welcomes his guest
With free dental care and a stock plan that helps you invest!
But beware of his generous pensions
Plus three weeks paid vacation each year
And on Fridays, the lunchroom serves hot dogs and burgers and beer!
He loves German beer!
