Hear The Temper Trap’s Huge New Anthem ‘Burn’

Melbourne rockers The Temper Trap have shared yet another new track from their upcoming third album Thick As Thieves. Titled Burn, the new song packs a huge chorus, and there’s plenty of space for an all-out singalong too.

Burn, whose live-shot music video can be streamed in full below, comes after Thick As Thieves‘ previous single Fall Together, as well as its title track.

As Noisey reports, Burn sees the band team up with English songwriter and record producer Justin Parker, who has worked with the likes of Lana Del Rey and Bat for Lashes.

“Burn was one of the early songs we wrote for the record and remains one of our favorites,” says drummer Toby Dundas.

“It evolved from two very different tracks which gradually morphed together as one as we were recording. That’s the thing with this record… we had the time and space to develop tracks in a way which allowed them to take on a new life during the process.”

The Thick As Thieves album is set for release on 10th June as the follow-up to The Temper Trap’s 2012 self-titled album. The record also features collaborations with the likes of songwriters Malay (Frank Ocean), Ben Allen (Animal Collective) and Pascal Gabriel (Ladyhawke, Goldfrapp).

Now go have yourself a singalong to Burn, below.
