Here Are Triple J’s Most-Watched Like A Versions Of 2018

Written by Emmy Mack on December 15, 2018

The numbers have been crunched and the list of triple J Like A Versions that we frothed most in 2018 is IN.

The year’s top 10 most-viewed videos to come out of the weekly covers segment have been revealed, and it’s pretty heavily dominated by visiting international artists who stopped by JHQ to have a crack.

Billie Eilish topped the list with her super sultry rendition of Michael Jackson’s monster hit ‘Bad’. It annihilated everyone else in the stats department, racking up over 2.5 million views online, proving that sometimes the simplest arrangements can be most effective. Not ~bad~ at all.

Other international guests to rank in the top 10 were A$AP Rocky with his rendition of Otis Redding’s ‘Sittin’ On The Dock Of The Bay’ at #2, Miguel’s take on Red Hot Chili Peppers’ ‘Porcelain’ at #3, Joey Bada$$’s update on the Prince classic ‘When Doves Cry’ (retitled ‘When Thugs Cry’) at #5, CHVRCHES’ take on Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Love Me’ at #6 and more.

While reppin for the Aussies were Ocean Alley, slotting in at #4 with their LIV of Player’s ‘Baby Come Back’, Angus & Julia Stone taking on Drake’s ‘Passionfruit’ at #8, and an international cover of an Aussie song also ranked at #7, with Brit rockers Nothing But Thieves having an epic crack at Gang Of Youths”What Can I Do If The Fire Goes Out?’
