Here’s What To Expect From Green Day’s Upcoming Aussie Tour

Green Day have detailed what to expect from their Revolution Radio world tour which is already underway, telling fans basically to expect the unexpected.

The legendary punk trio spoke to NME about what to expect from their setlists on the tour, basically saying that it’s going to be career-spanning.

“You know it’s great, we’re playing songs off Nimrod, Kerplunk, the new record, American Idiot, songs that are off Insomniac that we haven’t played in over 20 years,” frontman Billie Joe Armstrong said.

You can also expect their shows to be wildly impromptu by the sounds of it.

“Either we’ll work it out at soundcheck or we’ll just jump into it, make a mess, make something memorable happen on the spot. That’s the thing about this band, we just jump into stuff even if it’s in the middle of a show,” guitarist Mike Dirnt said.

So far on the Revolution Radio tour Green Day have been digging deep into their back catalogue. Their most recent setlist from a show St. Louis saw them play everything from Christie Road off Kerplunk! to Waiting off Warning:.

They’re also dropping around six songs from Revolution Radio into their setlists with songs from American Idiot making up majority of the setlist.

Green Day’s last world tour wrapped up in Australia in 2014 and they’re due to hit our shores once again early next year. Check out the dates below plus the setlist from their last show.
