Here’s How Billie Eilish Reacted To Winning Triple J’s Hottest 100 Of 2019

ICYMI Billie Eilish made history yesterday by becoming both the first female solo artist and youngest artist ever to take out the triple J Hottest 100 with her kooky pop earworm ‘bad guy’.

In her post-win interview (which she recorded from her bedroom #nawww) the 18-year-old pop sensation was gracious as ever, thanking her fans, dishing plans to celebrate by chowing down on some baked goods and even taking the time to send her best wishes to Australia in the wake of the ongoing bushfire crisis.

“I love you, thank you guys, you did this, thank you for making my life what it is,” she told triple j listeners.

“This chat is how I’m celebrating. I have donuts in the fridge, I might go eat them.”

“I’m just trying to relax before the Grammys,” she added.

You can listen to her full chat in the post below.

Meanwhile, number #2 charting duo Flume and Vera Blue, who nabbed the silver medal for 2019 with their collab ‘Rushing Back’, have also shared their reaction.

“OMFG!! No.2 in the @triplej HOTTEST 100 for Rushing Back and we are losing our minds over it!!!!” Vera Blue tweeted alongside of a very wholesome snap of the pair FaceTiming each other.

“Thank you so so much for voting. This song is special and we are so stoked you guys love it!!! A Celebratory FaceTime was necessary.”
