Midnight Oil are remembering the hardest years, the darkest years, the roarin’ years, the fallen years, the hardest years, the wildest years, the desperate and divided years in their career-spanning new documentary, Midnight Oil 1984.
The Ray Argall-directed movie is choc-full of never-before-seen footage of the legendary Aussie rockers during the years that made them icons, and it’s due to hit screens from May 10th.
The film is slated for a limited season across the nation and tickets are on sale now.
Representing the Oils’ first foray onto the big screen, Midnight Oil 1984 bills itself as “the story of the sweat-soaked, hardworking rock and roll band whose music galvanised a generation of young Australians and inspired them to believe in the power of music to change the world”, and of course it’s sountracked by all your favourite Oils hits.
