Hilltop Hoods Are Wholesome Dads In Their Video For New Single ‘Clark Griswold’

Adelaide rap legends Hilltop Hoods have made their triumphant return with new single ‘Clark Griswold’ and its own quirky music video.

The new track, which features singer Adrian Eagle and is the Hoods’ first new release since their 2016 album Drinking From The Sun, Walking Under Stars Restrung, is named after Chevy Chase’s loveable National Lampoon character Clark Griswold.

The song’s music video, filmed by Richard Coburn in Ironbank, South Australia, sees the Hoods become characters in their own creepy narrative.

The track is “about becoming a father and taking account of our weaknesses as a result”, the group say.

“As the video for ‘Clark Griswold’ is dropping on Friday the 13th we thought we’d better at least try to incorporate some horror movie elements, albeit pretty tame (we wanted it to be horrifically violent, but even more than that, we didn’t want YouTube pulling it).”
