Hoodoo Gurus, Sunnyboys And Violent Femmes To Team Up For A Day On The Green Shows

Hoodoo Gurus, Sunnyboys and Violent Femmes have been announced as part of an alt-rock triple-threat bill for the latest instalment of A Day On The Green.

The three will play five outdoor shows in March of next year in wineries and parks across the country to picnic-ready crowds.

All three bands were legendary in the ’80s but they have all managed to continue their legacy over almost four decades with dynamic and energetic live shows.

The bands seem to each be hyped to be on the bill together. “Sunnyboys, Violent Femmes and Hoodoo Gurus? Yeah, we go way back,” said Dave Faulkner of the Hoodoo Gurus while Peter Oxley of Sunnyboys said, “Very excited to be touring with such a great line-up of really great bands. I’ll be dancing in the wings.”

“We think the bill is complementary and elegant and are proud to be part of it,” said Brian Ritchie of Violent Femmes, adding his two cents worth.

The only International headliner, Violent Femmes, are also in the country for Golden Plains which they will play alongside the likes of Sleater-Kinney and Eddy Current Suppression Ring.

’80s cult band Ratcat and Died Pretty will support the three bands at A Day On The Green making for a pretty jam-packed show.

Tickets go on sale 9am, Friday 23rd October. Check out all the show details below.
