After leaving Sydneysiders in awe earlier this year, the tribute spectacular ‘My Leonard Cohen’ has announced it will be returning down under for one very special show, with the Sydney Opera House being the fortunate recipient.
‘My Leonard Cohen’ sees acclaimed Australian musician Stewart D’Arrietta lead a troupe of six fellow musicians for a journey through the life and times of Leonard Cohen, who passed away earlier this month, aged 82. The show will feature 18 classic Cohen jams as D’Arrietta and co. decipher the motivations behind his iconic and inimitable body of work.
Generation-defining tunes like Suzanne, Tower of Song, Dance Me To The End of Love and of course the mega hit and inspiring Hallelujah will get their time in the spotlight once again.
D’Arrietta has become an authority figure when it comes to paying tribute to iconic artists (dead or alive). His previous projects including breathing new life into music from Tom Waits, John Lennon and Randy Newman.
