I Killed The Prom Queen Announce ‘Rise Of Brotality’ Tour

I Killed The Prom Queen have announced they will tour their homeland later this year, and joining the SA boys will be Los Angeles hardcore outfit The Ghost Inside, In Hearts Wake, Bury Tomorrow, and Hellions.

Since forming in Adelaide in 2000, I Killed The Prom Queen have survived numerous uphill battles, lineup changes, and a hiatus to now stand as one of Australia’s most beloved heavy music exports. Along the way they’ve amassed mountains of critical acclaim and legions of devoted followers.

In 2008, they embarked on a successful farewell tour before disbanding to embark on new projects, including Bring Me The Horizon and Confession. As guitarist Jona Weinhofen told Music Feeds, “I think at the point in time when we did the Say Goodbye tour… we honestly thought that was it.”

But after Weinhofen and guitarist Kevin Cameron reconnected online, the band were soon entering a Gothenburg recording studio with At The Gates producer Fredrik Nordström to begin work on their first album in six years, which was soon followed up by a spot on the Soundwave 2014 tour.

Meanwhile, over the course of three well-received studio albums, The Ghost Inside have risen out of the densely populated Los Angeles hardcore scene to stand at the forefront of a genre that prides itself on producing bands that not only push artistic boundaries, but give it their all for their fans.

I Killed The Prom Queen and The Ghost Inside’s 2014 national tour kicks off Friday, 5th September at Magpies City Club in Canberra. Readers can check below for all dates and details.
