Australian hip hop hero Illy has just announced that his fourth studio album, Cinematic, is set for release this November, with the Melburnian wordsmith also unveiling single number two from the record, the genre-defying Youngbloods.
The follow up to first single On & On made its debut on triple j‘s Breakfast With Tom & Alex this morning and features an appearance from Ahren Stringer of Queensland post hardcore outfit Amity Affliction. It can be pre-ordered from iTunes right now.
Youngbloods will be sitting pretty on the full-length effort, alongside tracks with guest appearances from Hilltop Hoods, Drapht, Daniel Merriweather and Kira Puru and production from M-Phazes, Jan Skubiszewski, Styalz Fuego and Cam Bluff.
The rapper will also be hitting the road this weekend, kicking off a national tour in Brisbane that will see him play dates all around the country.
To celebrate, Illy dropped the official tour track for the On & On tour, How Far featuring Tuka, Allday and Elemont, last week. Take a listen below.
Cinematic will hit the world on Friday, 8th November and is Illy’s first release on his very own record label, ONETWO, which is poised to announce more acts very soon.
