In Hearts Wake Launch ‘The Skydancer Project’ In The Name Of Charity

Byron Bay post-hardcore clique In Hearts Wake are brining the conscience back to heavy music by officially kicking off their new initiative, The Skydancer Project. With their new project, the band are looking to help ease the plight of the indigenous community.

Offering fans a brand new single Skydancer, and a brief documentary telling the tale behind the song, the band are on a mission to raise awareness for indigenous cultures left behind by our rapidly advancing modern world.

Furthermore, the band have revealed that 100 per cent of the profit from Skydancer will be split evenly between three charities: Red Dust, Hardcore Health and Seventh Generation Fund For Indigenous Peoples.

All three charities are recognised NFP organisations, who concern themselves with the betterment of cultures through health and positive action. The track itself is currently for sale via a pay-what-you-like system. Fans are encouraged to dig deep for the track should they have the cash to spare.

As the band explain in the documentary, Skydancer is directly inspired by their mission, focusing on the plight of native Americans during the industrial boom experienced by North America.

The film explores the lengths the remaining members of this culture went to to survive in this new world. Skydancer rapidly rose to the attention of the masses after a mysterious website appeared bearing the name and an option to register for updates.

It’s currently all happening for the band who have the next few weeks all booked up, touring in support of The Amity Affliction.
