International Act Cancels Download Festival Shows, Replacement Act Announced

Download Festival is right around the corner, and as it so happens, it has gone a pretty big lineup change with one international act pulling out only to be replaced by another.

Unfortunately, Andy Black (otherwise known as Andy Biersack of Black Veil Brides fame) has had to pull out of the festival and cancel his trip to Australia due to scheduling conflicts.

“Due to scheduling conflicts I will not be able to make the trip to Australia as planned,” Black wrote in a statement. “I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused but I have every intention to reschedule a tour and see all of you as soon as possible.”

Fret not, though! California outfit New Years Day has been called up at the eleventh hour to replace Black on the lineup, marking the band’s first ever trip to Australia.

This lineup change isn’t the the last the festival will have, as they’ve teased a final lineup announcement happening for next week.

Download Festival is taking place across one weekend in March, with Sydney’s date being on Saturday 9th March and Melbourne having their event on the long weekend Monday, 11th March.
