Is Kanye West Planning An Australian Tour For March 2022?

Reports have emerged that Kanye West (whose name is now legally Ye) is planning a tour of Australia for March 2022. If all goes to plan, Kanye would arrive in Australia just weeks after the release of his next album, DONDA 2.

However, the Sydney Morning Herald reports that Kanye’s had a bit of trouble securing a date at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium. Ye’s preferred date clashes with an AFL fixture between St Kilda and Collingwood, scheduled for Friday, 18th March.

According to the Herald, Marvel’s owners, the Australian Football League, aren’t inclined to shift the round one fixture. Ye is now looking to play a Melbourne show before to the AFL season, possibly on Thursday, 12th March.

West’s Australian jaunt would have to conclude prior to Monday, 4th April, when the hip hop superstar is expected to attend the Grammys in Las Vegas. He’s also lined up to headline Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Fridays 15th and 22nd April.

Ye’s last Australian tour was in 2014. Since that time he’s released the albums The Life of Pablo (2016), Ye (2018), Jesus Is King (2019) and DONDA (2021). This week, Ye announced his 11th albumDONDA 2 would be released on Saturday, 22nd February 2022.

Ye released the single ‘Eazy’, a collaboration with his frequent sparring partner, The Game, in mid January. Ye has also named Atlanta rapper Future as the executive producer of DONDA 2.
