Jimmy Barnes To Appear Alongside Metallica, Steve Vai & Iron Maiden For Deep Purple Tribute Album

Our very own rock icon Jimmy Barnes will be featured alongside some of the biggest names in the world for a soon-to-be released Deep Purple tribute album set to drop September 4, according to Triple M.

Titled Re-Machined: A Tribute To Machine Head, it will obviously be playing homage to one of the greatest rock albums ever, Deep Purples’ Machine Head. Featured on the release will be Carlos Santana with Jacoby Shaddix aka the dude from Papa Roach as well as Barnsey, Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and a whole heap more, all of whom are covering specific tracks off the release.

Though I don’t have all the information in front of me, this would have to be one of the most illustrious selection of artists to ever perform on a tribute album. What’s more, the release will also come hand in hand with an in-depth and completely authorised 124-page magazine featuring interviews with some of the big names such as ‘Tallica. Check out the tracklisting below; there are going to be some absolute gems on this.
