Joel Madden Wants To Join Limp Bizkit & Mastodon Onstage At Download Festival

Good Charlotte will be in the country in March for Download Festival and frontman Joel Madden is eyeing on-stage collabs if he can strike up the confidence to do it.

Madden was talking with Triple M ahead of the visit when he was asked who he would hop up on-stage with if he had the chance and his answer was Limp Bizkit and Mastodon.

“I would love to go on stage with Limp Bizkit, I love Limp Bizkit, I’m excited to see them. I love Mastodon and I love the guys in Mastodon,” he replied.

Unfortunately though, it seems he may be a little “too shy: to actually commit to it.

“I’m not good at singing any other music than my own. I don’t even know I have the balls to go onstage with anybody,” he said.

Regardless of whether it happens or not, Madden is excited to come back to his “second home” of Australia where he was a judge on The Voice for a number of years. He’s also excited by the opportunity to play on a “heavier” festival bill.

Back in 2016, Good Charlotte released their sixth album Youth Authority which came after a six year gap in releases. This is the first time they have toured Australia since then.
