NFL Melbourne Kickoff Festival Reveals Music Lineup

The NFL is bringing a little more than touchdowns and tailgates to Melbourne this September, unveiling the first wave of artists set to soundtrack its huge Kickoff Festival at Melbourne Park.

Taking place across three days from Thursday, 10th to Saturday, 12th September, the fest will feature sets from Peking Duk, Grinspoon, Sneaky Sound System, Hot Dub Time Machine, Kita Alexander and Public Figures, with more artists still to be announced.

The whole shebang is being staged around the NFL’s historic first-ever regular season game in Australia, which will see the Los Angeles Rams face off against the San Francisco 49ers at the MCG on Friday, 11th September.

Music-wise, things will kick off on Thursday with indie-pop fave Kita Alexander, followed by certified festival chaos merchants Peking Duk.

Friday’s program will feature Public Figures before Aussie rock veterans Grinspoon take the stage, with Hot Dub Time Machine also jumping behind the decks to keep the party rolling.

Then on Saturday, Sneaky Sound System will round out the first batch of announced musical entertainment.

“The Kickoff Festival is where football, music and culture come together,” NFL General Manager – Australia & New Zealand Charlotte Offord said in a statement.

“From the moment fans walk through the gates, they’ll be immersed in the excitement of game week, with non-stop entertainment, unforgettable experiences and a festival atmosphere unlike anything we’ve ever delivered in Australia.”

All of the live music is included with a festival grounds pass, with Melbourne Park set to undergo a temporary transformation into NFL-land for the occasion.

Alongside the tunes, there’ll be game watch parties, Flag Football clinics, appearances from NFL legends, retail pop-ups, an American-style food village and opportunities to get up close with the Vince Lombardi Trophy and all 60 Super Bowl rings.

The festival will also host an official watch party for the opening game of the 2026 NFL season on Thursday, as well as a watch party for the Rams v 49ers Melbourne clash itself for punters who don’t have tickets to the MCG.

Tickets to the Kickoff Festival are on sale now, priced at $49 for adults on Thursday and Saturday and $59 on Friday, while kids aged 13 and under can attend free with an accompanying adult ticket.
