Kanye West Stops By His ‘Yeezus’ Melbourne Pop-Up Shop

Yesterday, Music Feeds reported that Kanye West had set up his famous pop-up shop in Melbourne’s Chapel Street and today, ahead of his show at Rod Laver arena tonight, Yeezus himself and his wife Kim Kardashian have made a surprise visit to the store.

Shoppers queuing up for a look inside the nondescript all-white shop, were surprised when the Wests cut the line and made their way inside the store, perhaps to pick up some gear ahead of tonight’s gig, the first of two Melbourne performances at Rod Laver Arena. Social media was soon ablaze with photos of the visit, which you can peruse, below.

Situated at 336 Chapel Street, previous Kanye pop-up merch stores have been staged in Los Angeles, New York City, and Chicago. The shops, which are traditionally adorned with a Yeezus Tour logo installation and a dirt bike placed in the middle of the store, were inspired by California hip-hop group Odd Future, who famously use pop-up stores to sell tour merchandise and other exclusive OF-branded items like skateboards and more.

Following his run of two Melbourne shows tonight at Rod Laver Arena, Kanye will head to Sydney and Brisbane later in the week.
