Kasabian Put Their Hand Up To Work With Jack White

If there was any doubt before now that Jack White is in fact the man, then this will surely clear it up. It’s looking as though some of the biggest names in the world are taking a number to lineup for their chance to work with the iconic axe-man.

First we caught word that Sir Tom Jones himself had given White the nod for a collaboration, though that was after White collabbed with Insane Clown Posse to reimagine Mozart. Now we know that Kasabian are interested in knocking musical boots with The White Stripes founding member.

In a recent interview with The Daily Star, mainman Serge Pizzorno commented, “We like to do our own thing most of the time but there’s one person I can see me working with and that’s Jack White. I respect Jack, and in some way, shape or form we’d love to kick around in the studio with him.”

Kasabian are currently hard at work piecing together their fifth studio album and the follow-up to Velociraptor!. Pizzorno continued to explain the process so far: “We’ve played around with some ideas. I’ve been lucky because I’ve produced all the records. I’m always on the look-out for people I can learn from, but I’ve kind of got the Kasabian sound down. That doesn’t mean I don’t like it if somebody asks me to produce their work.”

So it will be a while off before they can lock in a date for the release, but stay tuned for news on that and a possible JW collab.
