Kesha is currently involved in a legal battle with her alleged sexual assaulter Dr. Luke but she’s put that behind her momentarily making a triumphant return to the stage at Coachella.
She jumped up during EDM producer Zedd‘s set to perform the track True Colors, a track from Zedd’s most recent album of the same name.
It’s her biggest live appearance since she began her legal battle to free her from a recording contract with Sony and producer Dr. Luke, who she’s accused of emotional and sexual assault.
So far, she’s yet to achieve a successful ruling in the case. An NYC judge most recently threw out her rape and abuse claims and is also yet to grant her freedom from her recording contract with Sony.
Kesha has been slowly returning to music. She hasn’t released an album since Warrior in 2012 but she has dropped small snippets of songs and will also perform at Bob Dylan’s Birthday festival in Nashville in May.
Coachella is streaming all weekend. Zedd’s set was streamed, however, unless you caught the live stream fan footage of Kesha jumping up on stage is going to have to do for the times being at least.
