Melbourne rock-quartet Kingswood have announced a run of Australian shows in June and July, getting your winter all warmed up before they head off to the ol’ US of A to record their debut album in Nashville.
They’ve also launched a teaser trailer for their short film, Some Motherfucker’s Gotta Pay. A short film, you ask? Well, what started out as a Tarantino-inspired video clip for their single Ohio turned into a 10-minute long spaghetti western shot in Sydney and rural New South Wales by young film crew Wonderworld Films.
It features appearances from Seth Sentry, Thelma Plum, Sticky Fingers, Kira Puru, Dan Rule of The Annandale and cult surf icon Reg Mombassa, as well as plenty of wild gun shootouts, bloodshed and rock ’n’ roll.
Kingswood are putting on an exclusive screening of Some Motherfucker’s Gotta Pay this Saturday night at Eureka Rebellion Trading in Melbourne. To score entry to this exclusive event, simply purchase a ticket to their show at The Corner Hotel on 18th July. They’ll be drawing 100 winners to attend the screening and see the film first, along with the band and other special guests.
