KISS’ Ace Frehley To Open For Gene Simmons On His Australian Tour

Gene Simmons has announced that he will be joined on his upcoming Australian tour by KISS guitarist Ace Frehley.

Simmons announced the news during one of his Vault Experience solo shows in the US while talking about what members of the band have been joining him on the tour.

“[Ace] is going to be opening up for the Gene Simmons Band when we do five shows in Australia,” he said.

“He’s going to be using my back-up band and we’re just going to have a great time. He’ll play ‘Ozone’ and lots of other crazy stuff.”

Frehley has joined Simmons during three Vault Experience shows which Simmons is doing to promote his $2,500 box set that he’s hand delivering to fans.

Just last year, Frehley joined Simmons on stage for the first time in 16 years. Since then, they’ve shared the stage a number of times and even collaborated on new music.

Simmons reckons that the only KISS member he can’t get to join him is Paul Stanley.

It seems both Frehley and Simmons will head down-under in August for the Australian shows. Simmons was originally scheduled to play here in February, however, he rescheduled due to a logistical reshuffle.
