Krist Novoselic Says Watching ‘Montage Of Heck’ Helped Him Heal

Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic and Kurt Cobain’s widow, Courtney Love, have shared a touching moment on Twitter today after Novoselic said the new Kurt Cobain documentary, Montage Of Heck, has helped him heal.

Taking to Twitter, a Cobain fan tweeted at Novoselic and Love, saying, “Just want to say thanks for sharing Kurt with all of us.”

Novoselic then replied to the fan by saying that the last portion of the film, which deals largely with the relationship between Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, has helped him heal. “I have reconciled the last 1/3 of the film and now appreciate what it has done for my healing,” Novoselic posted.

Seeing this, Love jumped to thank Novoselic for his words. “Love you Krist that was so touching. so much love and respect for you old friend.. Love C,” she wrote. Novoselic replied with a short, “Thanks Courtney. — Krist.” View their series of tweets, below.

Love has had a tumultuous relationship with Cobain’s Nirvana bandmates Novoselic and Dave Grohl in the past, but after her famous hug with Grohl during Nirvana’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame last year, her words with Novoselic make sense.

Amongst other things, Montage Of Heck includes footage of a Beatles cover, an unreleased demo, the genesis of the Nirvana name and clips of a young Nirvana.

The film will see a limited Australian release, beginning this Thursday, 7th May. To top off the release of the film, a Kurt Cobain solo album is due for release later this year.
